Abstract
The present case report describes three heavy dogs, Caucasian Shepherd breed, with chronic complete traumatic rupture of Achilles tendon, which was repaired with two types of sutures. Surgical treatment involved shortening the Achilles tendon, and using a locking loop suture technique and own suture technique with four buttons. Additionally, positional screw and cast supported the sutures. Twelve months postoperatively no discomfort and lameness were observed on clinical examination. This paper shows that treatment of chronic complete rupture of Achilles tendon with locking loop suture and own suture technique gives good results.Entities:
