Clinical application of acupoint tianshu.

Acupoint Tianshu (St 25), in combination with other adjuvant points as indicated by symptom differentiation, are very effective in the treatment of diseases of the digestive system. The needles are inserted perpendicularly to a depth of 1-1.5 cun, according to the thickness of body fat of the patient, and maneuvers of thrusting, lifting and rotation were done for reducing the exuberant type and reinforcing the deficient type. Most patients benefit from this therapeutic modality.
