Abstract
Drosophila male courtship offers a unique experimental system to uncover the molecular and neural basis of genetically preprogrammed behavior. In this issue of Cell, Demir and Dickson (2005) and Stockinger et al. (2005) demonstrate that this behavior relies on a single splicing of the fruitless transcript, and on a specific olfactory-based neuronal circuit.Entities:
