Abstract
Pyostomatitis vegetans is a rare condition of the mouth frequently associated with chronic inflammatory bowel disease. It is characterized by miliary abscesses and superficial erosions affecting a hyperplastic, soft and friable oral mucosa. Three cases are presented here and used as a basis for reviewing the literature and discussing the differential diagnosis, etiology and treatment of this unusual condition.Entities:
