Abstract
The sclerosing treatment of subcutaneous cystic lymphangioma was repeatedly attempted in the past, but only to be abandoned owing to the high frequency of inflammatory complications. The authors repropose this treatment method under US guidance and using 98% sterile ethanol. In 6 patients with subcutaneous cystic lymphangioma in only one location, a US-guided puncture was performed which was followed by complete drainage of the cystic cavity and alcoholization. US follow-up 2-18 months from treatment showed the complete disappearance of cystic cavities. The method was found to be simple, reliable, and to present no complications.Entities:
