Abstract
Patients with rheumatoid arthritis often have periarticular and generalized osteoporosis. Bone resorption develops through increased productions of cytokines and prostaglandines by synovium and bone. Important risk factors of osteoporosis are functional impairment, postmenopausal state, and corticosteroids usage. Osteoporotic fracture occurs at the spinal body, femoral neck, distal radius, and periprosthetic bone.Entities:
