Abstract
Due to manifold interactions between physical and mental health, there exist close interactions between psychiatric care and that from other medical fields. In this regard, points of general medical practice are discussed as they relate to psychiatric care. The frequency of somatic comorbidities in patients with mental disorders and a rising proportion of elderly patients are strong arguments for inclusion of general medical elements in psychiatric and psychotherapeutic training.Entities:
