Abstract
This article reviews chronic subdural haematoma in terms of evidence relating to incidence, pathogenesis and treatment. While it is one of the commonest neurosurgical conditions, unanswered questions persist, particularly in terms of treatment options, with a multitude of personal preferences. Current management strategies are summarized and the need to rationalise treatment backed up by Class I randomized studies is discussed.Entities:
