Abstract
An 11-month-old infant with a 5-month history of seizures and a 3-month history of infantile spasms is described. EEG showed epileptic encephalopathy. The infantile spasms were resistant to treatment with clobazam. Following the introduction of levetiracetam, there was clinical cessation of seizures with resolution of seizure activity on the EEG. This is the second report in the literature of effective treatment of infantile spasms with levetiracetam.Entities:
