Abstract
A brief survey is given of the eye movement parameters which contribute to visual search strategies. The literature on eye movements and industrial inspection is reviewed and some recent studies carried out at the University of Birmingham into the eye movements underlying four inspection tasks are described. These tasks included the inspection of tin cans, electrical edge connectors, men's briefs and woven fabric.Entities:
