Abstract
The process of cardiomyogenesis and cardiomyocyte differentiation in vertebrates is complex, which is controlled by a series of cardiac embryonic genes. The underlying calcium signaling pathways are important to the expression of these genes. The role of calcium dependent transcription process, Ca2+/CaM/CaN/NF AT/GATA 4 transcription pathway and Ca2+/CaM/ CaMK/HDAC/MEF2 transcription pathway, in cardiomyogenesis and cardiomyocyte differentiation are reviewed.Entities:
