Indirect bonding: a comprehensive review of the advantages.

John T Kalange1.

Abstract

Interest in indirect bonding has grown rapidly worldwide and continues to expand. Although the concept began as a specific technique, the literature has shown a number of approaches to the indirect placement of brackets, all of which outline the advantages of indirect bonding. This summary reviews the advantages of indirect bonding in terms of: (1) clinical advantages, (2) technical advantages, and (3) ergonomics and efficiencies.
