Apoptosis and the heart: a decade of progress.

Abstract

In this Focused Issue we have attempted to highlight several important areas concerning the role of apoptosis in the heart. Seven articles written by leading investigators in the field should provide a timely review of our current understanding of the role of apoptosis in the adult mammalian heart.
