Abstract
The diagnosis of tuberculosis is considered on general signs, respiratory or extra-respiratory clinical signs, complementary examinations or because of a particular epidemiologic context. Once the diagnosis considered, respiratory isolation must be implemented during the short diagnostic period. This period must either rule out the diagnosis, or lead to treating contagious forms within a week and non-contagious forms, in particular extra-respiratory presentations, within a month. Treating, before or after diagnosis confirmation, is preceded by a clinical and biological evaluation having for objective to determine the infection site, to assess supporting factors, in particular immunodepression, contra-indications to some antimycobacterial drugs, elements suggesting resistance, and psychosocial elements which could decrease the efficiency of the treatment.Entities:
