Capitulatin B, a new eudesmane derivative from Curculigo capitulata, and revised assignment of 13C NMR data of 6alpha,15alpha-epoxy-1beta,4beta-dihydroxyeudesmane.

A new eudesmane derivative named capitulatin B (1) along with 6alpha,15alpha-epoxy-1beta,4beta-dihydroxyeudesmane (2) has been isolated from the rhizomes of Curculigo capitulata. The structure of compound 1 was established as 4alpha,6alpha-epoxy-1beta-hydroxy-4beta-methyleudesmane, and the 13C NMR data of compound 2 was reassigned on the basis of the spectral data, including 1D and 2D NMR (HMQC, HMBC, COSY, ROESY).
