Abstract

Lymphangioma is a congenital malformation consisting of a developmental or primary defect of the lymphatic channels. We report the first case of lymphangioma of the bladder in an adult and review the literature. In our case a 49-year-old man presented with irritative voiding symptoms, cystoscopy showed a non-papillary tumor between the two orifices within the trigone, and transurethral resection was performed. Three months after operation the irritative voiding symptoms had improved and cystoscopy showed no residual tumor. 2004 S. Karger AG, Basel.
