Porcine reproductive and respiratory syndrome (PRRS or blue-eared pig disease).

.

Abstract

This paper sets out to provide a summary of the salient facts about the porcine reproductive and respiratory syndrome and to identify conclusions. It draws on the proceedings of a BVA Trust symposium held on Friday November 1, 1991, which was attended by representatives of the state veterinary services of Belgium, Germany, the Netherlands and the UK together with veterinarians involved in pig research and practice.
