Abstract
The prevention of elder mistreatment can be improved greatly with an effective strategy for assessment with a well-publicized protocol in the care setting involved. There are now several protocols available throughout the country (Figure 2), and it is up to each setting to organize a response that meets their needs while providing for the safety and well-being of the elderly with whom they come in contact.Mesh:
