Abstract
Conversation analysis (CA) is well established as a means of exploring the interactional detail of conventional healthcare encounters. It is also becoming increasingly popular in action to CAM. This article outlines the main features of CA, how it can be used in a CAM context, and the type of information it can be expected to reveal. Examples of original CA data obtained from CAM consultations are presented to illustrate the CA method.Entities:
