Abstract
We report a 61-year-old woman with arteriovenous fistula (AVF) of a splenic artery caused by traumatic injury, which was successfully occluded by percutaneous transcatheter arterial embolization (TAE). We embolized the AVF with a coaxial system using six microcoils. This case suggests that super-selective TAE for traumatic AVF of a splenic artery is an effective and primary choice of first treatment. The use of a microcatheter and microcoils is an alternative to surgery.Entities:
