The genetic make-up of renal cell tumors.

M A Noordzij, G H Mickisch.

Abstract

Recent developments in (molecular genetics have led to a better understanding of renal tumor biology. The current knowledge of the genetics of benign as well as malignant renal tumors is discussed briefly. This knowledge may, in the near future, be used to more accurately diagnose these tumors and also to optimalize individually based therapy. Copyright 2004 Springer-Verlag
