Abstract
A thread holding ring, originally developed for valve replacement surgery and now commercially available, was successfully employed when performing ileoanal or coloanal anastomosis in 34 patients. The use of this instrument for ileoanal or coloanal anastomosis shortened the operation time and resulted in a decreased rate of complications related to the anastomosis.Entities:
