Abstract
Mammalian iron homeostasis requires meticulous control of proteins involved in intestinal iron absorption and tissue iron management. Recent studies in animal models have provided important insights into iron physiology. This review describes our current understanding of the regulation of iron trafficking and its perturbation in genetic iron disorders.Entities:
