Abstract
Laparoscopic cholecystectomy is an extremely safe procedure. The most common serious complications are bile-duct injury and injury to vessels or bowel secondary to the insertion of trocars. These complications may be avoided with appropriate precautions. Indirect complications of surgery, such as pulmonary and cardiac complications, appear less common than with open cholecystectomy.Entities:
