Abstract
The excretion of urinary beta-hexosaminidase in 203 apparently healthy males and females correlated significantly with their tobacco consumption (r = 0.26; p less than 0.001). Those who smoked more than 10 g tobacco per day excreted significantly more beta-hexosaminidase in urine than non-smokers, which indicates the presence of a low grade renal injury in smokers.Entities:
