Abstract
Drugs, or withdrawal from them, can cause changes in consciousness, reasoning ability, perception of reality, and memory, all of which could affect testamentary capacity. When asked whether a person is, or was, capable of making a will, one should take into account the possible effects of drugs or drug withdrawal on the person's ability to comprehend the nature of a will, the assets to be disposed of, and the potential beneficiaries.Entities:
