Abstract
Hydatid disease is an infestation caused in humans by the larval forms of Taenia echinococcus. Isolated renal hydatid cyst is rare with a frequency of 2-4% of hydatid disease. Infection of hydatid cyst is a very rare condition. We describe a rare case of isolated renal hydatid cyst presenting as perinephric and iliopsoas abscess and discuss the dilemma in diagnosis and its management.Entities:
