Abstract

BACKGROUND: Temporal resolution. AIM: To use an auditory fusion test with pure tone in children and to comparatively analyze the results in relation to gender, age and risk for presenting language development deficits, in group and individually.
METHODS: 35 scholars, in the first or fourth grade, from a private school of Belo Horizonte were submitted to an auditory fusion test and had their life history analyzed.
RESULTS: The mean values obtained for the resolution times when the test was performed in free camp, with headphones and per group were similar, and inferior to 15 ms.
CONCLUSION: The presented test can be performed in scholars.
