Abstract
US has become an integral part of patient evaluation in emergency medicine. As discussed in this article, other potential uses for US are relatively early in their development. With the increased interest and study,however, there exists a real potential for US to be employed in an expanded clinical role in the evaluation of traumatically injured patients outside the standard FAST examination, for acute and chronic musculoskeletal injuries,and for triage of patients in disasters.Entities:
