Abstract
Plica neuropathica is a rare, acquired condition of sudden onset characterized by irreversible matting of hair. The exact mechanism is not understood, but multiple factors such as physical conditions, chemical agents, and behavioral factors play main roles. Cutting of the affected hair and avoiding all possible triggering factors are the only effective treatments. We report a 14-year-old boy with this condition.Entities:
