Abstract
Ultrasound is becoming an indispensable tool for the surgeon in the diagnosis and treatment of a variety of breast problems. Hands-on ultrasound education for surgeons and the ongoing improvements in imaging technology have made surgeon-performed breast ultrasound an effective method of identifying and diagnosing breast lesions and have increased the surgeon's ability to perform ultrasound-guided interventional procedures.
