Abstract
Advances in imaging technology have been essential to our understanding of T-cell activation and effector functions. Much of the progress stems from the use of fluorescent fusion proteins combined with high resolution imaging techniques, including confocal and multiphoton microscopy. However, these techniques have limitations, and other modes of imaging, including new developments on the horizon, might add promising new tools for the visualization of cytoskeleton-dependent processes in living cells.Mesh:
