Abstract
Stapling devices have been clinically applied to connect blood vessels. The early application of these staplers in cardiovascular surgery, including coronary bypass surgery, was encouraging. With further refinement of suture material, however, vascular staplers became impractical and soon fell into oblivion. With advancement in robotic surgery, these devices might become valuable tools once again. Herein early experience with vascular circular stapling devices is reviewed.Mesh:
