Abstract
Histological detection of mycosis can be laboriously but can be easier by a simple fluorescenceoptical method. Optical brighteners (e.g. blankophor, calcofluor) make it possible to detect fungus cell walls without significant background fluorescence of resident tissue. Mycosis can be detected even in cytological slides after maceration by brighteners.Entities:
