[Therapy resistance to antidepressants. Definition, prevalence, predictors, and interventional possibilities].

H-J Möller1.

Abstract

A major problem in the medical treatment of depression is that not all patients respond sufficiently to drug treatment. This applies particularly when the therapeutic aim is complete relief from symptoms, not merely response. This article presents an overview of the definitions and epidemiologic, predictive, and therapeutic aspects of the problem.
