Abstract
The polyketide vicenistatin has significant anticancer activity. In the January issue of Chemistry & Biology, Kakinuma and coworkers reported on the vicenistatin biosynthetic gene cluster and demonstrated in vitro glycosylation of its aglycone core, raising the possibility of producing analogs with altered sugar residues.Entities:
