Anjali Saqi1, Risha B Ramdall, Diane Hamele-Bena.

Abstract

Angiosarcoma is the most common malignant neoplasm of the heart. Recurrent pericardial effusions are a common manifestation of cardiac angiosarcomas. The diagnosis of metastatic disease in effusions is often established histologically; few cases have been described in exfoliative cytology. We report a case of metastatic cardiac epithelioid angiosarcoma in peritoneal fluid. Copyright 2004 Wiley-Liss, Inc.
