Abstract
In this article Antal Rot calls into question the generally accepted notion that gradients of soluble chemotactic factors are responsible for leukocyte emigration from the circulation into sites of inflammation. He presents an alternative model in which chemoattractants bound to the surface of endothelial cells promote neutrophil adhesion and emigration, while soluble blood-borne attractants inhibit adhesion and emigration.Entities:
