An investigation of validity of the subjective happiness scale.

Abstract

Scores for 35 adult students (M age = 23 yr.) on the Subjective Happiness Scale correlated strongly and positively with scores of two proposed components of happiness, Satisfaction With Life (.66) and Positive Affect (.49).
