Abstract
IgG antibody values against measles, mumps, rubella and varicella-zoster virus in 71 full term and 101 preterm infants and their 152 mothers and the decay of maternally acquired antibodies during infancy were studied. Both magnitude of transplacental antibody passage and cord blood antibody values correlated with gestational age. After 6 months preterm infants born before 32 weeks of gestation had lost maternal antibodies.Entities:
