Light ion accelerators for cancer therapy.

Abstract

The paper concentrates on the accelerator choices for light ion cancer irradiation facilities, as outlined in several proposals over the last 15 years and concludes with the description of a modern synchrotron facility. Further summary papers on the same subject are cited in references [14, 19].
