Abstract
Type I Interferons (IFN) induce the expression of IFN-stimulated genes (ISG). The products of some of these genes have direct antiviral effects, others are involved in immunoregulation or modulate signaling pathways and gene expression, and others yet are mediators of cell growth and death. Their role in autoimmune diseases has been found to be both beneficial and detrimental.Entities:
