Abstract
We report a case of a 25-year-old pregnant woman with gestational diabetes and increased activity (25-fold) of placental isozyme of alkaline phosphatase. Abdominal ultrasonographic scan revealed no hepatobiliary disease. After delivery, the alkaline phosphatase level decreased but did not return to the reference range. Similar abnormalities were found in the patient's first-degree relatives, which included a mother and a sister.Entities:
