Abstract
Anaphylactic reactions to platinum compounds are well recognised, but uncommon. These vary from true type I reactions to direct histamine release due to nonimmunological mechanisms. We present 6 cases to illustrate this--5 due to cisplatin and a report of this occurring with carboplatin--with a near fatal outcome in 3 of the cases.Entities:
