Abstract
We report a case of acute renal failure in a man with medically treated advanced prostate carcinoma. Imaging suggested renal tract obstruction as the cause; however, the patient failed to respond to treatment with dialysis and bilateral nephrostomy insertion. Postmortem examination revealed the renal failure to have been due to severe thrombotic microangiopathy.Entities:
