Abstract
End-stage chronic obstructive pulmonary disease often leads to hypercapnic respiratory failure. Oxygen supplementation therapy may further aggravate hypercapnia and not all patients are compliant with non-invasive ventilation. This case documents successful control of chronic respiratory failure with medroxyprogesterone in a postmenopausal woman during 1-year follow-up.Entities:
