Abstract
A 73-year-old woman who presented with symptoms of acute cholecystitis was found to have a gangrenous gallbladder wrapped in three complete rotations around its pedicle. Detorsion and removal of the gallbladder were accomplished laparoscopically. Our review of the literature found no other case in which this degree of torsion was successfully treated laparoscopically.Entities:
