Why promote clinical nursing scholarship?

The rationale for clinical nursing scholarship derives both from the nature of any health profession and from the nature of nursing. Clinical scholarship, whether scientific, evaluative, philosophical, or historical, provides the means for advancing knowledge needed to continuously improve the essential services that nurses provide.
