Abstract
Genito-urinary tuberculosis is considered to be a local manifestation of a generalized tuberculous infection which, for all practical purposes, has gained entrance to the body through the respiratory tract. Even though clinical or roentgenographic evidence of the pulmonary infection is found in only a small percentage of cases, the problem must be attacked as a whole. Indolent or inactive disease in other parts of the body may become reactivated as the result of surgical intervention or severe complicating infection. The importance of thorough general antituberculosis treatment in every case cannot be overemphasized.Entities:
