Abstract

The changes in free-radical processes have been studied using peroxide chemiluminescence of the blood sera in patients with meconial-aspiration syndrome on controlled lung ventilation and in the newborns with severe forms of sepsis. Monitoring of free-radical processes may be used for the diagnosis and prediction of septic shock and hemosorption prescription.
